Cleo Chocolate Body Wash Is a Non Fat Indulgence

MMM... I love Chocolate! I would love it even more if it was calorie free and fat free. So what's a girl to do to satisfy her craving? Bathe in it! Now you can with Cleo Chocolate body wash.  Cleo chocolate wash is actually made with cocoa and yogurt powder. It is made in Italy but available at Drugstore.com It is very reasonably priced at $4.99 for an 8.5 oz bottle. It has a wonderfully sweet chocolate brownie aroma and has a lush lather when you apply it to your skin. It makes a perfect shaving companion and leaves skin soft, supple and well moisturized. I am eager to try more from the Cleo line. They also make a Vanilla Bath Foam and a moisturizing lotion. Yum....

Tokyo Milk-Dead Sexy, Wear it if you Dare...

I was introduced to Tokyo Milk products a while back. I am a fan of sweet scents in the summer and they make a Bon Bon Shea Butter lotion in Gin and Rosewater that is divine. It is sweet and soothing and is laced with mandarin orange, rosewood and mimosa. In a word, intoxicating. Knowing that I loved that product so much I was intrigued with more from their line. So when I ran across the Dead Sexy Perfume I knew I had to give it a try. Romantic & Ethereal: Deep Vanilla, Exotic Wood, White Orchid, Ebony, these are the descriptions that lured me into to purchasing Dead Sexy. I received the perfume today and was pleasantly surprised with how rich and lightly sweet it is, but it also has some strong wood notes to hold the fragrance together for a long time. Dead Sexy is the perfect scent for date night or winter days or when you are just feeling a little daring. www.tokyo-milk.com

Spring Trends Worth Trying

So many of the runway looks that inspire the new seasons are very, cool, unique and trendy but they are just not practical in the real world. But a few this season can be translated into everyday life without you looking like an alien on an unknown planet. Here are a few of my favorites for Spring 2012.

1. Bronzed skin, as seen on the Michael Kors spring runway. This look can be created easily with a matte bronzer, stay away from the shimmer bronzers for this one.  Using a large face/blush brush lightly sweep the bronzer on in an E shape fashion on your face concentrating on all the high points, or where the sun naturally hits your face. Forehead, cheeks, nose and lower chin. You can even carry the look down to your decollete. Keep the rest of your makeup light. The focus here is on your beautifully bronzed skin. Gorgeous and easy.

 2. Bright lips as seen at Jason Wu. This season it's all about the colors you would have left in grandma's make up vanity. My grandmother loved corals. Who knew years later they would be all the rage? Well, this season bright lips are in. Think bright pinks, corals, crimson reds. All bright make a maximum impact but use just the lips as the focal point, and if you are going to work the bright lips leave the dark grey smoky eye for another day.

3. Cat eyes, I think of the gorgeous and iconic Sophia Loren when I think of the cat eye. This year Dolce & Gabbana was all about a wispy cat eye and it was intoxicating. Get out your liquid liners girts because the cat is back and it's super hot. Meow!

4. Full Brows, put the tweezers away this season because the full brow is in. Just a little clear brow gel and a brush into place and your brows are set and you are ready to go.

These are a few of my favorite wearable trends for Spring 2012. Comment below and tell me which one you like the best.

Review: Ojon Full Detox Dry Cleansing Spray

I have to say I have tried them all and this by far takes the cake! Ojon Full Detox, Rub-Out Dry Cleansing Spray leaves no messy residue and leaves hair soft, manageable and free of any tell tale signs that you washed your hair a day ago. I am an every other day hair washing girl. If I wash it each day I find it strips my hair leaving it lifeless and flat. But in between days I reach for a dry shampoo.  I have tried many products, TreSemme, Alterna, Oscar Blandi, Tigi Rockaholic, Big Sexy Hair, etc.... None have worked as well as the Ojon.  There is one negative to to the Ojon and that is the aroma. It can be a bit strong.  So if you can bear with the smell for a few seconds you will be rewarded with clean and fresh hair. Now that is something to cheer about.

I can hardly wait to get my hands on the new Too Faced Summer Eye, Summertime Sexy palette. It's chock full of gorgeous beachy tones and a petal pink that makes me want to book a trip to Hawaii. Also newly released is a Royal Oil Coconut Oil Body Bronzer, Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder, Primed, Poreless & Pure Oil-Free Skin Smoothing Face Primer for Sensitive Skin and Better Than False Lashes Nylon Lash Extension Activating Mascara Base & Top Coat and Nylon Lash Fibers. Take a peek here...

Let's talk about Concealer

Over the years I have experimented with any and all ways to apply concealer to my under eye area. Sometimes, I would get a perfect look only to walk to a mirror an hour or two later to realize that I look like an extra in night of the living dead. Every fine line looks like it is screaming out saying I'm here and I look OLD! Ugh, not the look I was going for. So today I'd like to share the tips that have worked the best for me and will leave you looking fresh, rested and very much alive.  First, I always begin with applying a face primer. I am partial to Too Faced, Primed and Poreless, but I have also used Make Up Forever HD and Smashbox, all of which work well.  Then after the primer has settled I select a concealer that is one to two shades lighter than my foundation.  I begin by applying it with a small concealer brush on the whole under eye area. Not forgetting the inside corners. You can also use a sponge as well. Then I lightly tap the concealer into the skin using the pad of my ring finger. The ring finger uses lighter presser than your pointer so it is gentler to your under eye area. Once I have completed this and I am satisfied with the look I apply a light layer of powder just to set the concealer. Then I continue on with the rest of my foundation application. I prefer to use a MAC foundation brush but whichever you prefer to use, always remember to blend well. When selecting a concealer for fair to medium skin tones try to pick one with yellow undertones. It helps to mask the green and blue hues under the eye that we are trying to conceal. For olive and darker skin tones select a concealer with peach undertones. It is handy to have more than one shade concealer in your kit. This way you can adjust the color depending on how much coverage you need. Some to try...

Make it Smoky with Dior

Looking for a gorgeous new grey palette? Then look no further than Dior's Artistry Palette in Smoky Design. Create expert smoky eyes with the white base and gorgeous glitter silver, medium grey, and dark gunmetal grey.  There is also a black creamy eye liner that can be applied beautifully with an angled brush or smoked out with a small dome brush. I have been wearing this for the past week and I am hooked. It is very easy to apply and can be blended in a snap. I have a similar palette in purple but I am partial to the grey. I have blue eyes and it really adds a pop. It would accentuate nicely with all eye colors and complexions. It was a tad pricey at $59.00 but you will get a lot of mileage from this kit. It would make a great gift as well. Check out Sephora for this amazing product. www.sephora.com It was also a best of Allure winner in 2011.

5 Star Pet Grooming Products Worthy of the Paul Mitchell Label

As I was doing my beauty store loop last week I happened upon an end cap of the most interesting products I have found in a while. A luxury pet care line by John Paul. It's no secret that many of us treat our pooch to more treats, clothes, collars, beds etc than we do ourselves. So why not have a pet care line devoted to man's best friend. I was quite impressed by the selection of items in the line. Moisturizing, Super Bright Whitening and Tea Tree Shampoo just to name a few, they also have a Detangling spray that would work wonderful on my poodle mix and his stubborn curls. They also offer eye and ear wipes for that show quality gleam and my favorite product, tooth and gum wipes. We all would appreciate these when Fido gives us unexpected dragon breath kisses. The line also offers a Waterless Foam shampoo for those quick freshening up times when company is coming and you just can't manage chasing a wet dog around the house.
